WHP Whiteman Airport PAMS Site Surface Data Notes Data collection started: July 1, 2008 Inception to August 12, 2008 -- Wind direction sensor wire disconnected, only wind speed is valid. Valid data resumed at 1200. September 3, 2010 - A review of the data for this and past years has shown the solar radiation from the Licor periodically drops off significantly when compared to the K&Z sensor, typically affecting a couple of days per month. This is most noticeable during the spring through fall and is suspected to be from birds or other animals perching on the sensor. This doesn't seem to occur on the K&Z sensor. October 4, 2010 - The noted above ended on this date and doesn't seem to be present. Additionally, a site review on February 24 did not show any issues with the wiring of the sensor. The data will be watched. May 3, 2011 -- The 2011 data file now includes the last field for the aspirator current. In the months prior to the data logger program uploading an empty field will be in the file (only a comma). During the installation month the values for aspirator current will appear. The aspirator current started recording on February 24, 2011.
